Thanks to the generous financial support of the Arizona Community Foundation/Flagstaff Community Foundation, Forest Highlands Foundation and an anonymous contributor, scholarship funds are available for youth who would like to participate in Discovery programs, but cannot afford registration fees.

Partial scholarships are available. Partial scholarships may be awarded for up to 75% of the registration fee and are limited to two programs, per child, per year.

Scholarships are awarded based on need, interest, and available funds. Need is determined by the annual income of the supporting parent/guardian(s), number of household family members, and/or extenuating circumstances provided on the scholarship application. Scholarships must be used during the calendar year in which they are awarded and may not be transferred to other participants. Program spaces and scholarship funds are limited; thus the following cancellation policies apply.

Scholarship recipient cancellations must be received in writing by mail, fax, or email. If notice of cancellation is received 21 days prior to the program start date, then your , then the partial registration fee paid, less a $25 administrative fee (per program/per reservation) may be transferred to another Discovery 2008 program. If notice is received after 21 days prior to the program start date, or if you do not attend the program, then your scholarship award and partial registration fee is forfeited.

If the Museum cancels a Discovery program due to inclement weather or insufficient enrollment, then complete payments will be returned and scholarship awards may be transferred to other Discovery 2008 programs.
