Discovery Educator :: Jessica Grohs

Jessica graduated from Anderson University with a B.A. in Elementary Education. After she graduated, she began teaching in Florida and then moved to Flagstaff in August 2008, where she continued teaching. Teaching is a passion for Jessica. Her creativity and caring attitude has earned her the respect of her students, while creating a fun and inviting learning environment. Although new to Discovery, Jessica has a variety of camp experiences and has taught outdoor education at several camps.

During the school year, Jessica is a classroom teacher. She has had taught various grades ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade. She is currently teaching middle school math and working towards a master’s degree in special education at Northern Arizona University. Jessica and her husband, Ben, own two dogs and enjoy the scenic views and outdoor activities that Flagstaff offers. Jessica also enjoys reading, scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, and playing volleyball.
